MobiLAB™

MobiLAB™ is a usability lab accompanied by a trained technician that has been specially designed to support companies in testing their interactive products and services. Utilizing the latest video and computer technology - including remote controlled cameras, scan converters and digital switching equipment - our system captures images of research participants from different angles in real time as they interact with the software or hardware being tested. Facial reactions, hand/eye movements and body language are combined electronically with images of the product being tested and are displayed in a picture-in-picture format, providing simultaneous observation and feedback of the product/participant interaction.

Customized modes of testing

MobiLAB™ is designed to be flexible to meet the special needs and requirements of each project. Unlike other systems, the MobiLAB™ configuration can be customized through the use of miniature or pinhole cameras, multiple scan converters, etc. Our clients are never forced to make compromises in how or what they want to test.

Portability

Interactive Video has formed a network of MobiLAB™ equipped research facilities located in various major markets around the country. In addition, we have a pool of portable MobiLAB™ units that can be shipped anywhere in the world and set up in any type of location.

Complete project management

From start to finish, we coordinate all logistical and technical requirements of your usability research. We can assist in the selection of a research facility, configure MobiLAB™ to your specifications, and recommend other research consultants such as moderators, software designers and prototypers. This lets you and your system developers concentrate on more important matters - the design and research requirements of the test.

Videoreport™

Our powerful summary videoreport™ offers an alternative to lengthy, tedious, written research reports - a personalized video containing the highlights from testing that project developers and designers need to know. We evaluate multiple hours of research footage, selecting the most illustrative reactions and responses of research participants to support the key findings of the research. Using voice-over narration and graphics, we produce a stand alone, concise, dynamic summary video that is ideal for distribution and presentation to senior management. Available on video and CD-ROM.
